Vietnam has many holidays, but Tet holiday or Lunar New Year is the event I like most. Tet is the national and tranditional event which celebrates the beginning of new year and express the respect for the ancestors.
To prepare for this occasion, the house is cleand up and decorate with latterns, colorful flowers, kumquat tree, peach tree, apricot tree, … People also get together to make Chung cakes. This is specific cake of Tet holiday. Moreover, the parents and grandparents prepare many other traditional foods such as spring roll, sticky rice, boiled chicken, …
On the first day of the new year, people will visit the relatives’s houses to give the best luck for each others. Especially, children are given the lucky money to wish for Lucky, Happy and Health in the new year.
Tet is a special and meaning event to all Vietnamese. This is a great time for people to reunite with their family and take a rest after whole hard-working year. It creats a beauty in Vietnames culture and customs.

Việt Nam có rất nhiều lễ hỗi, những Tết ngày Tết âm lịch là một sự kiện mà mình thích nhất. Tết là một sự kiện truyền thống cả nước để đánh dấu sự bắt đầu của năm mới và sự biết ơn với tổ tiên.
Để chuẩn bị cho dịp này, nhà sẽ được dọn dẹp và trang trí với đèn lồng, hoa, cây quất, cây đào, cây mai, … Mọi người cũng tụ tập để làm bánh Chưng. Đây là loại bánh đặc trưng của ngày Tết. Thêm vào đó, bố mẹ ông bà cũng chuẩn bị rất nhiều món ăn cổ truyền khác như chả nem, xôi, gà luộc, …
Vào ngày đầu tiên của năm mới, mọi người sẽ đi thăm nhà người thân để chúc may mắn tới mọi người. Đặc biệt, trẻ con được tặng tiền lì xì để chúc cho may mắn, hạnh phúc và sức khỏe trong năm mới.
Tết là một ngày đặc biệt và ý nghĩa với tất cả người dân Việt Nam. Nó là thời gian tuyệt vời để sum vầy bên gia đình và nghỉ ngơi sau cả năm làm việc chăm chỉ. Nó đã trở thành một nét đẹp trong phong tục tập quán của người Việt Nam.
